Friday Fancies!
I'm linking up with with Av over at Long distance Loving....check her out
Isn't this amazing!?
I am loving this dress at the moment. I love things that can make my hips appear slimmer. I don't know how these dresses accomplish this but they do. I really wanted to buy this dress but of course it is out of stock. Oh well....I guess that is why they call it Friday Fancies.
Also I have some gold bangles from Forever21 they do go nicely with a lot of different outfits. A good cheap piece for many outfits.
On a side note I'm going out of town for the weekend with the family at the lake. I'm gonna
Gonna go spend some quality time with this guy and his family....isn't he the cutest!

What I'm Loving Wednesday
I'm Linking up with Jamie for WILW
I love this stuff! It has been especially hot and humid in Ohio. My hair is very frizzy in this kind of weather. This stuff tames my frizz and gives it a gloss that is hard to get. LOVE
I saw this picture on pinterest. I want to live here. That hammock is amazing and I wish I had one. Plus it comes complete with a golden retriever...now how can you beat that. I think beans (my dog) may get jealous though...
I saw this sign and must have it! Such a cute little idea..especially if you are water people like my family
Made another trip to the farmers market this weekend....so delicious.... I got tomatoes..so i could make the picture below
Nothing better than a salad! so delicious. get some fresh..they are in season!
I occasionally suffer from Ocular Migraines...Yesterday I had a pretty bad episode that sent me home from work. I am especially loving this today.
Happy Wednesday Everyone!

Last night the hubby was out of town so I decided to make it a movie night and watch a couple of flicks that i'm not sure that he would want to see. I watched the movie called "Just go with it." I wasn't sure because the leading actors are Jennifer Aniston and Adam Sandler. I must admit the last few movies that either one of them have done have been disappointing....."The Zohan"... I mean what was that movie?
Here is the trailer for the movie
The second movie that I watched was "Red Riding Hood." It was more like a 2-3 star movie. I was entertained the whole time. I don't know that I would ever watch again though...
I do however love Amanda Seyfried...every since "MAMA MIA".
I wanted to tell you all about Munchkin land designs. I love this ladies work. She is doing a bunch of giveaways. You can check her out here.

DIY framing a painting
Happy Monday!
Well...this has been a DIY on my list for over a year. We went to Jamaica last summer and ended up buying a painting. It was pretty large and we had to take the canvas off the frame in order to get it home safely. I have had this painting rolled up in my office for over a year! I know...pathetic!
Me and the honey decided to remedy this problem. We went to lowe's and bought some wood and "L" brackets and Jared and I built a frame. I watched the below tutorial on how to stretch a canvas. This was a great lesson and I'm glad I have learned this skill. I thought I would shared some of the pictures of our little adventure.
Here is the UTUBE tutorial I used
Here is the picture...you can see the canvas is no attached to anything and the edges are white |
Here is Jared screwing in the "L" bracket to support the corners and make is strong |
Here is a picture of the completed frame..and my foot apparently |
This is the final product after we used the staple gun just like the tutorial |
I'm so glad this project is done! I don't think I will worry next time the Hubby wants to buy art on vacation. Besides building the frame...stretching the canvas was easy peezy.

Friday Fantasy
I'm linking up with http://www.longdistanceloving.net/ for Friday Fantasy. I love being able to find an outfit that look amazing together. Oh well if I can't afford all the pieces...a girl can dream.
I love this little black pencil shirt. I love this look and am going to have to see if I can replicate it. I'm normally afraid to put black and brown together but I think it looks really great here...opinions?

Roasted Brussel Sprouts
here's another new recipe that I tried this week. I officially hate brussel sprouts.....till now. I found this recipe (for the life of me I cant find it anywhere) online and all the comments were raving about how fantastic the brussel sprouts were and even if you don't like them you should try them cooked like this first.
So I apprehensively bought some brussel sprouts and gave it a whirl.
DELICIOUS!
At least I thought so...Jareds response was ..."yeah...they are alright" and then proceeded to make a broccoli steamers bag as his side of veggies.. UGG WHAT SHOULD I DO WITH HIM?!
this is in the pan right before cooking |
this is right out of the oven... the little dark roasted leaves were the best! |
Roasted Brussel Sprots
2 lbs of brussel sprouts (cut ends off and cut sprouts in half)
7 cloves crushed garlic
3 tbs of olive oil ( I added more than this as it was cooking)
salt and pepper- maybe 1/2 to a 1/4 tsp. of each
1/2 to 3/4 cup of water to help cook the sprouts
I cut this recipe in half when I made it. 1 lb of spouts was plenty for two people
Toss all the ingredients together and bake at 425 degrees for 20-25 mins
Enjoy! Tomorrow is Friday.... Wahoo

What I'm Loving Wednesday
I'm linking up with Jamie for What I'm Loving Wednesday
I recently started asking people to keep their corks. I think this is a really cute projects. I have also seen where you can make a cork board out of these..put it on the DIY list
I found this Hairstyle on Pinterest....I don't know how much more perfect it would get. I don't know if I will ever be able to get my hair this long. Even still it would probably never look like this. sigh...
I was reading a magazine and they has a picture of this dress...It was listed under 50 bucks and they said that it was from JC Penny's. WHAT? I love it. I will have to go over and see if I can find it. Of course I did'nt find it listed online.
I found this dessert on pinterest.....looks so delicious that I had to post it. I may add this to the things to try.
As always I love Lea Michele...i particularly love her hair here
I got a new nail polish this week. It is called Sublime Strawberry...Its one of Revlon's scented nail polishes. I love it and I painted my nails like a week ago and it is still holding tough.
This was another shirt that I saw in the magazine. MUST HAVE. It was listed at forever 21 for like 15 dollars. I guess while i'm at the mall hunting the JCP dress I will also look for this little gem!
